Urgent optimism training
A practical training in holding urgency and optimism at the same time. This is about acting decisively in the face of uncertainty — without falling into cynicism, paralysis, or false positivity.

Urgent optimism is the practice of acting with hope, responsibility, and speed — at the same time.
It acknowledges the scale and seriousness of the challenges we face, without collapsing into cynicism or paralysis. Urgent optimism is not about blind positivity. It is about choosing to believe that better futures are possible — and taking responsibility for helping make them real.
In a world shaped by rapid change, climate pressure, technological acceleration, and social uncertainty, optimism without action is naïve. Urgency without hope is exhausting. Urgent optimism holds both.
A practice, not a slogan
Urgent optimism is a mindset, but also a practice. It shapes how we frame problems, how we work together, and how we decide what deserves our energy.
It shows up in:
How futures are imagined and discussed
How responsibility and agency are framed
How people move from awareness to action
How optimism is grounded in real work
This perspective informs everything I do — from strategic foresight and product development to workshops, speaking, and coaching.
Evolving and open
Urgent optimism is currently evolving as a shared language and practice. We explore it through talks, workshops, and experiments — and continue to develop formats that help people and organizations work with it in concrete, practical ways.
More will take shape over time.
